QA Manager, Vietnam


Major Responsibilities

Normal Operations

•  Manage both directly and indirectly, QA activities (Onsite quality inspection/QA Metrics review/Quality claim handling/Supplier QMS maturity assessment/Supplier quality scorecard evaluation/Regular quality performance review meeting with suppliers/Supplier quality qualification & annual audit/CAPA follow-up), processes, people, infrastructure to facilitate Quality

•  Coordinate with central QA service team to synchronize the SOPs quality-related. Lead Vietnam QA team to well implement the SOPs in packaging production process and suppliers quality management activities

•   Work closely with customers in various industries on request wherever the Company is doing business within the packaging area. Arrange field visits to ensure customers’ needs are met, support RAMs (Regional Account Managers), and project management. Assists in samples checking, prototypes and communicate feedback to suppliers

•   Establish close working relationships with QA team of the Company and suppliers. Provide reports on activities relating packaging

•   Provide technical support to project team and Asia sales on new business opportunities. Responsible for analysis of packaging materials and manufacturing technology. Makes comparison analysis of the Company’s packaging and others’ packaging

•   Consolidate, analyze, and report on global Quality performance

•   Analyze and influence Supplier Quality Performance, directing improvement efforts

•    Analyze aggregate performance of supply base

•    Individual Staff Performance Management (Skills, Knowledge)

•    Departmental Performance Management (Process, Budget)

•    Contribute to supplier management function

•    Contribute to supplier profiles

•    Contribute to production of supplier scorecard

•    Directly manage Quality performance at the local suppliers

•    Manage QA department to achieve desired KPIs

•    Improvement Project leadership

•    Development of QMS Standards

•    Development of Strategic Quality Plan

•    Development of departmental Staff Development, Succession Planning

•    Development of business allocation standards for global Quality team

•    Development and delivery of training materials for global Quality team

•    Exception Management

•    Qualitatively Assess RCA/CAPA results; provide feedback and coaching on improvement opportunities

•    Manage critical quality escalations, organizing resources and achieving resolution

•    Perform other related duties as required or assigned



•        Four year degree from accredited University preferably in quality, engineering, supply chain management or business administration

•        University graduate

•        5+ years of working experience as quality manager in the international companies

•        Knowledgeable of packaging including corrugated shipping carton as well as litho-laminated packaging

•        Knowledgeable in Flexo & Offset / Litho printing and color management

•        Thorough understanding of fiber based packaging materials and transportation testing – ISTA testing, ring crush, ECT, burst/Mullen, BCT, etc.

•        Familiarity of the graphics, structure files and packaging industry

•        Committed, ability to handle multiple tasks and work well with little direction and under pressure
